Black Panther Breaks Box Office Records and Points to an Ever Brighter Future for Disney’s Film Busi

Black Panther shattered the President’s Day box office record by scoring $218+ million in four days. Big news for Disney which continues to ride the wave of superhero and sci-fi hits and crack the code on delivering to passionate fan bases and growing fandom.

Black Panther carries a 97% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes (299 critic reviews) — a proof point of its quality and authenticity. Disney’s $4 Billion 2009 acquisition of Marvel has been a raging success.

The chart below, from Box Office Mojo, shows Black Panther at $235 Million; more than 10x its closest weekend competitor.
